Days around here have been wet. These shots were taken before the splash fest began. I’ll leave you with a burger tip and the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time.
a. Cut up a big handful of fresh basil, squish it into the meat along with Worcestershire sauce sea salt, pepper and garlic. Shape into patties like usual. Serve topped with goat cheese and thinly sliced red onions.
b. Just before I took these photos, B was quietly observing the puddle forming in the green turtle shell lid. “Look mommy, there are the nipples.” hmmmm. Thought I….
“Oh, honey, those are ripples (don’t laugh, don’t laugh).”
That’s what you get when you grow up in a drought climate and ahome where your mom has been breastfeeding someone over the course of your entire existence.

oh, puddles. and, oh, breastfeeding with older kids. Addie had sometimes grabbed my friend’s shirts and made the sign for milk. Awesome!
