soft of voice and gentle of bearing

Be soft of voice and gentle of bearing.

I read this somewhere today and it has been sticking with me.  Something I’m trying to remind myself in those crazy times where I usually let my passions get the better of me.  Nobody likes (or wants to cooperate with!) a mean mommy with no patience.  It’s for our salvation, for our salvation, for our salvation, for our salvation……

Lord have mercy.

I needed to hear that too. Being pregnant with a toddler (moving into his “terrible twos”) definitely makes a person lose their temper more easily.

    Thanks!

It’s not just for parents of toddlers. Imagine a pre-adolescent who knows how to push all of your buttons, and shares most of your personality “quirks” (really, he’s a great kid almost all of the time). Lord have mercy on (and grant patience to) those of us with next-generation mirrors!

When I prayed for more patience when you were that age, I was met with more reasons to develop patience!! It was a a valued experience that I have always appreciated.

This a good reminder. I know that my patience will really be tested once I have a newborn. I am praying of self control and definately a soft voice in the coming months or years for that matter.
How has the transition to three been? Your still blogging, that’s a good sign.
Did you get your camera back? I want to see little Simeon again! They change so much in the first few months.
